Sleep Monitor

Monitoring the cat-nap! After watching this, I hope you feel RELAXED!!

ZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz………. My cat, Sir Bassy, has found a new favourite sleeping spot! It’s nice and warm, until the monitor goes to sleep!! As soon as it turns off, the cat wakes up, and then has to find another favourite place to sleep.  Quite often that is my lap, with his head resting on my arm, making typing a real challenge.

Now there is a story behind the monitor too! Nearly 2 weeks ago, my laptop had a shower!!

Someone was cleaning the windows with a hose outside, and didn’t realize there was an air-vent just above where I have my computer. So consequently, everything (almost) got wet, including the laptop!! OH, NO!!!

But thankfully, it was still working. However, later that day, the screen went all dark. Apparently, the back light on the screen went, so we’ve had to order the part.

I’m STILL waiting. In the meantime, I’m hooked up to an old monitor, and someone has discovered that the old monitors are great to sleep on…

Hoppy Camper!!

It’s been a WET week!! The first week of 2008!!

I am spending some time at my Mum and Dad’s place on the Sunshine Coast, in Queensland, the “sunshine” state. But where was the sunshine?? It’s poured for days!! I’m thinking we might need to build an ark!!

Consequently, I haven’t venture too far to take photos. But I did find some interesting things in the garden along the back fence.

Anyhow, this little fella has been camping on top of a dead sunflower head, which was sheltered by another small sunflower in full bloom.

I first spotted him yesterday (Thursday), and to my surprise, he was still in the same spot on today. I bet he’s still there tomorrow!!

This one was taken yesterday… he didn’t look too happy about all the rain.

And here’s a shot of his smiling face today. He looks a bit happier.

The sun was trying to peep through.

Maybe the sun might shine tomorrow!!??

Real Live Crazy Frog!!

I had the funniest experience last night before I went to bed.

I was waiting for our kids to come home. The girls had gone to pic up my boy who was working late… finished at 12:00. They had to drive 30 mins both ways to get him. (He normally drives, but the car was having repairs done yesterday, so he couldn’t take it to work.)

Anyhow, at 1:00 I was starting to get a bit concerned that they weren’t home. So I went to the phone in our office, to redial my son’s mobile number (is was on the office phone).

The phone is near the window, and as I looked out, I spotted a tiny froggy (about an inch long). WOW!! He looked so sweet. So (after the phone call, and I found out the kids were alright), I grabbed my camera and took some photos.

And this is what I got….

As I took the shots, I couldn’t really see what was happening, because he was so small, and I turned the light out (as I do for my froggy pics). When I looked in the viewfinder, I was so amazed. It looked like he was pulling faces at the camera!!

Though, in actual fact, I think he was catching insects. But it made for some good photos, and a great yarn!!!

This still cracks me up!!!

PS. I will have to clean the cobwebs off the window sometime, eh?

Talking about honey, it reminds me how I first met my husband!
We were at a special weekend for young adults, and we happened to be at the same table one meal time. Strange thing was, we both used to have honey in our tea, so we shared the honeypot. Years later, we met again, and Phil had remembered me because of the honeypot!! Ain’t that sweet??
I don’t need honey in my tea now, because I have my honey!!

 

AND GREATER LOVE IS……
